I am a 5th generation Texan from the Republic of Texas and very proud Army child as my father was a retired Army veteran of 23 yrs., and met my mother in Paris France, so we were able to travel and live around the world. I have dual citizenship in France and speak fluently. Seeing the greatest art and architecture in Europe greatly influencing my love for art.
I received my 1st camera in the 7th grade and was hooked. At the age of 19, I worked 2 jobs, bought a camera and began cold-calling not knowing what that term even meant. I have always enjoyed meeting people and have spent my life doing volunteer work for mostly elderly persons. I have since freelanced, as well as having worked with local newspapers and magazines. Also I have been published with great reviews in the Dallas Morning News for a photography exhibit and published in D Magazine for an event in the "pre-digital" era. Life put my photography on hold until my children were raised but I got a graphic arts degree and have now returned to specialize in events and sports.
I have currently moved to the North East Texas area as this is a bit of full circle for me. My Cherokee Ancestor came to the Republic of Texas on the Shawnee Trail (now Preston Road) in 1842. She became a widow and then met my 3x great grandfather, where they donated the church and cemetery of Bethlehem Baptist Church, north of Farmersville TX and buried there.
